There are dozens of methods to make coffee: percolators, siphons, French press, electric brewers, pods, k-cups, and the list goes on.  So in an effort to combine a love of coffee, re-purposing used materials and avoiding consumer electronics, my buddy Mike Dellios and I teamed up to design and fabricate a beautiful single cup pour station.  Here’s some photos and you can check out some more info on Mike’s Blog.

We’re hoping to have the Hario drip stations to sell sometime soon.  It takes a bit of experimenting and practice to get the coffee right (lots of variables), but once you’ve got your formula perfected, wow is the coffee brilliant and clean tasting.  Stay tuned for a ‘how to’ post.

So while this is clearly going to be a forum for discussing coffee, it’s not just going to be about our coffee or company.  The idea behind this blog is to give you, the coffee-lover, a place to find the freshest and most interesting news on the coffee industry, sustainability and Toronto’s café culture.  As a roaster, we are acutely aware of the importance of education in coffee.  We also usually have first access to the information that helps shape the coffee world, and we’re more than happy to share all of that information and news with you here.
